Sofa Reupholstery
Sofas & Settees
Your Sofa, Transformed
A good sofa gets used every day. Over the years the fabric wears, the cushions lose their shape, and it starts to look tired. But if the frame underneath is solid - and in many cases it is - a full reupholster can make it look and feel like new again, often at less than the cost of a decent replacement.
I reupholster sofas of all types and sizes. Two-seaters, three-seaters, corner suites, sofa beds, Chesterfields, recliners. Every piece is stripped back, checked over, repaired where needed, and then built back up with new padding and your chosen fabric or leather. The result is a sofa that fits your home perfectly and will last for years to come.

The Difference
Before & After
Seeing the transformation is the best way to understand the craft.
The Process
How Sofa Reupholstery Works
It starts with a conversation. You tell me what you're after, I take a look at the sofa and give you an honest assessment. If the frame's good, we'll talk through fabric or leather options and I'll give you a clear quote.
I collect the sofa from your home, strip it back to the frame, repair anything that needs attention - springs, webbing, joints - then build it back up with new padding and your chosen covering. Once it's finished, I deliver it back to you. The whole process typically takes 3 to 6 weeks.
Common Questions
Sofa Reupholstery FAQs
How much does it cost to reupholster a sofa?
Costs depend on the size of the sofa, the condition of the frame and springs, and the fabric or leather you choose. As a rough guide, a two-seater sofa typically starts from around £800 for labour, with fabric on top. Three-seaters and corner suites will be more. I always give honest, no-obligation quotes.
How long does sofa reupholstery take?
Most sofa reupholstery projects take between 3 and 6 weeks depending on the size, the condition of the piece and the availability of your chosen fabric. I'll give you a realistic timeline when we discuss the project.
Can you reupholster a leather sofa with fabric?
Yes, absolutely. Switching from leather to fabric or fabric to leather is very common. I'll advise on the best materials for your situation and make sure the finished piece looks and feels right.
Do you collect and deliver sofas?
Yes. Sofas are too big for most people to transport, so I arrange collection from and delivery to your home across Ramsbottom, Bury, Bolton, Rochdale, Rossendale and the wider Greater Manchester area.
Is it worth reupholstering a sofa or buying new?
If the frame is solid, reupholstering is almost always worth it. Many older sofas have hardwood frames that are far superior to the softwood or chipboard frames in modern mass-produced furniture. You also get to choose exactly the fabric you want and keep a piece that fits your room perfectly.
